MINISTRY : PUBLIC SERVICE

JOB TITLE : ICT OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR

GRADE : H

RESPONSIBLE TO : ICT OPERATIONS MANAGER

NUMBER OF POSITIONS : 2

Job Purpose

To manage institution systems and users.

Main duties

  • Install and configure software and hardware as required
  • Respond to relevant IT support tickets as required
  • Manage the integrity of systems
  • Maintain the health and stability of the systems infrastructure
  • Maintain and support Active Directory, Exchange, HPC and any other servers.
  • Monitor and mitigate risk and proactively provide solutions, including the risk and benefit analysis.
  • Monitor user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Demonstrate and share domain expertise to the institution
  • Identify gaps in current processes, update and maintain the process documentation.
  • Maintain systems security
  • Provide backup and restore of the systems.
  • Handle recovery of a system to a correct state after a security incident
  • Document resolution and recovery of assigned incidents.
  • JOB SPECIFICATION

    Master’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science with two (2) years working experience at the level of systems support in Lesotho Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization.

    OR

    Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science with four years working experience of which 2 must have served at the level of System Support or equivalent level of experience in Government or reputable organization

    OR

    Certifications in Microsoft Administration or related field from a recognized University /Institution is an added advantage.
