The Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Lesotho (BCMCFL), is the result of a public-private partnership between Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI) and the Government of Lesotho, and is a legal, non-profit/tax exempt organization registered in Lesotho. BCMCFL provides free paediatric and family-centred HIV and tuberculosis prevention, care, treatment and support, serving thousands of children and families affected by HIV, TB, or other child health conditions.
Comprehensive High Impact Community Based HIV Prevention, Testing and Treatment Initiation for Sustained Epidemic Control in Lesotho under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (CoHip SEC) is an upcoming five-year CDC funded activity that will be implemented by BCMCFL to provide comprehensive and evidence-based community HIV prevention, testing and treatment initiation for the general population and other at-risk groups such as youth, men, migrant and factory workers, as well as building capacity of local organizations, civil society organizations and community systems in implementing data-driven programming. The project will be implemented in Berea, Leribe, Quthing, and Qacha’s Nek Districts.
BCMCFL is looking for qualified candidates to fill in the following position available on a full-time, Fixed-Term Contract basis.
Position: Data Clerk
Based at: Qacha’s Nek
Duties and ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview:
The Data Clerk will support the roving team to ensure availability of recording tools as well as documenting metrics of clients/people serviced during an outreach or community acitivity
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Recording and reporting data;
- Ensuring data quality;
- Proper and secure storage of recording and reporting tools;
- Provision of summary reports on a routine and ad-hoc basis;
- Data verification and triangulation
- Perform any other duties as directed by the Administration.
- Diploma in Statistics or any quantitative field;
- One-year relevant experience;
- Excellent skills using Microsoft Office package required;
- Knowledge of electronic medical records is an advantage;
- Demonstrated experience in collecting data and aggregating reports;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- A good team leader;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Analytic
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
