Mosepele Foundation Development Forum (MFDF)Founded in Lesotho in 2015, MFDF is a local youth-led organization with a presence in health facilities and communities across Lesotho and a membership of over 5,000 youth. Mosepele’s voice resonates in communities and on national platforms, representing Basotho youth in critical discussions and initiatives. MFDF engages young people as critical decision-makers and participants in the design, delivery, and monitoring of health and socio-economic services.Guided by the Lesotho National Youth Policy, MFDF represent Basotho youth nationally, including at Lesotho Country Coordinating Mechanisms (LCCM) and PEPFAR COP meetings.MFDF has a proven track record in executing impactful projects, including PEPFAR Community Lead Monitoring, The Global Fund’s Her Voice Fund, Global Fund for Children’s Mental Health etc.MFDF is looking for suitable candidates for the following positions:

Reports To: Sr Finance and Admin Manager

Job Summary:

The Human Resource and Admin Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the human resources functions of the organization, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. Additionally, this role involves overseeing administrative functions such as office management, facilities coordination, and support services to ensure smooth operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Management:

Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Oversee the hiring process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.

Employee Relations:

  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to resolve workplace issues and conflicts.
  • Implement and maintain employee engagement programs and initiatives.
  • Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and act on feedback to improve the work environment.

Performance Management:

  • Develop and manage performance appraisal systems.
  • Provide guidance on performance issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including Medical Aids, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and manage compensation structures.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations regarding compensation.

Compliance and Record-Keeping:

  • Ensure adherence to Lesotho employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes and practices

Administrative Management:

Office Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the office, including maintenance, supplies, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for office needs.
  • Ensure a safe and productive work environment by implementing office policies and procedures.

Facilities Management:

  • Manage office space utilization and layout.
  • Oversee facility maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Support Services:

  • Supervise administrative support staff and manage their performance.
  • Coordinate and plan MFDF events, meetings, and other activities.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and document management.

Budgeting and Reporting:

  • Prepare and manage the HR and administrative budgets.
  • Generate reports and analyze data related to HR metrics and office operations.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources and administration, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and office management software.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.

Working Conditions:

  • Location: Primarily office-based with occasional travel to other locations as needed.
  • Hours: Full-time position, with standard business hours and occasional overtime as required.
