EXTERNAL VACANCY
POST NO. 3556 ― LECTURER
The National University of Lesotho (NUL) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the post of a Lecturer in the Department of Private Law.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
The incumbent must hold a minimum of a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in the field of Private Law. A Doctor of Laws (LLD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the field of Private Law will be an added advantage. Further, the incumbent must demonstrate competence in handling, at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, courses in the area of Law and Development; including WTO law, International Economic Law, International Trade Law and International Investment Law. Teaching experience and research requirements must meet the minimum requirements as set out in the Appointment and Promotions Criteria/Guidelines for Teaching and Research Staff at NUL, as per the relevant rank.
Knowledge of advanced Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an added advantage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will be expected to promote the professional development of law students through teaching, supervision and research in his/her area of expertise. The incumbent should have the ability to handle courses that are taught by the departments of Public Law and Procedural and Adjectival Law, should the need arise. Further, the incumbent is expected to develop up-to-date study materials, deliver lectures and assess students as per the rules and regulations of the Faculty of Law. Administrative duties may also be assigned by the Faculty from time to time.

CONTRACT
The appointment is on permanent and pensionable basis for locals or fixed term contract for non-nationals.
