We are seeking a skilled Statistician to join our team at a leading cannabis plantation. The role involves analysing large datasets related to crop yield, plant health, environmental conditions, and other key variables to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.

Reports to: Plant Tracking and Data Manager

???????????? ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????:

  • Manage large datasets related to crop growth, climate conditions, soil quality, and production outcomes.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all stages of the production cycle.
  • Apply statistical methods to analyse data on plant growth, yield, and quality to identify trends and correlations.
  • Conduct regression analysis, variance analysis, and other advanced statistical techniques to optimize cultivation practices.
  • Develop predictive models to forecast crop performance and inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Nursery, Irrigation, Crop Protection and other team members to design experiments that test different cultivation methods, fertilizers, and irrigation strategies.
  • Analyse experimental data to determine the effectiveness of various treatments and recommend best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and insights derived from statistical analyses.
  • Create visualizations, such as graphs and charts, to effectively communicate complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Present findings to management and other key stakeholders to support operational decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement based on statistical analysis and implement recommendations to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure data-driven decision-
    making.
  • Provide statistical support and training to other team members as needed.
  • Design and implement data collection protocols for monitoring various
    aspects of the cannabis cultivation process.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, or any related fields.
  • Proficiency in statistical software and data management tools.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret
    complex data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical
    information to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365

  • Primarily office-based with occasional visits to the grow rooms.
  • May require travel to other locations for data collection or collaboration with external partners.
  • Must be able to work in an environment that may involve exposure to agricultural elements.
