The Government of Lesotho has received credit from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank to implement the Lesotho Competitiveness and Financial Inclusion (CAFI) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
One of the key Individual Consulting Services positions within the Project Management Unit (PMU) under Lesotho Entrepreneurship Hub and Seed Financing Facility (LEHSFF) is the Assistant Grants Administrator.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Business Development through the CAFI PMU, now invites interested individuals to indicate their interest for the position. Interested individuals should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience for the position.
The selection criteria will be based on the following information, inter alia:
- A bachelor’s or higher degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certification in accounting or financial management, such as CPA or ACCA, is desirable.
- At least three years of experience in financial management, grants management, accounting, or a related field, preferably with a donor-funded organization or a government agency.
- Experience in managing grants, vouchers, or prize programs for start-ups or SMEs or similar beneficiaries.
- Experience in developing and implementing financial management strategies, systems, policies, and procedures.
- Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge of the entrepreneurship ecosystem and support organizations in Lesotho or the region is a plus.
- Experience in verifying and signing off on claims and invoices.
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English and Sesotho languages.
