This role has duties that fulfil Risk Based Supervision Engagements for the country’s banking sector.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Conduct Engagement Planning prior to start of engagement.
- During planning have sufficient interaction with Analysts to assist in determination of focus and scope of the review.
- Conduct a detailed risk assessment of the entity utilizing all relevant information gathered during the planning.
- Compilation of Supervisory Plan.
- Conduct prudential meeting with entity.
- Conduct Combined Assurance Assessment (Determine level of reliance on 3 lines of defence).
- Review Programme Compilation.
- Utilisation of Experts (Risk Management, IT, AML etc.) where required.
- Conduct Fieldwork.
- Reviewing and validating models to ensure that existing risk models are appropriate.
- To monitor and ensure that entities put in place adequate risk management systems.
- Providing requisite reports to management within set periods.
- Update tracking register of the status of the resolving of Entity Issues (Risk Based Supervision and Analysts).
- Providing advice enforcement of laws, regulations and guidelines.
- To cooperate with other supervisory bodies in cases of cross border banking activities.
The Candidate will be required to:
- Competently conduct all risk based supervision engagements.
- Deliver quality engagements which results in a high level of satisfaction from Institutions.
- Fully and effectively, utilise all BSA functionalities, which will result into improved productivity.
- Effectively complete engagements with a high level of quality within budgeted hours and cost.
- Deliver quality and value added reports within the contracted timeframe.

- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Banking, Economics or any equivalent professional qualification
- Relevant Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
- Two (2) relevant experience in a related field will also form an added advantage
