Reporting Directly to the Director of the Enterprise Risk Management Department, the Head of Project Management Division is responsible for overseeing and leading the project management team, ensuring the delivery of value through projects to the organization.

Areas of responsibility include:
Establishing and maintaining project management standards and best practices across the Bank.

The candidate will be required to:

  • Develop and implement project management frameworks, and methodologies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure that projects align with the Bank’s strategic objectives to deliver value.
  • Coordinate the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Generate and maintain accurate project documentation and reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Carry out risk management for projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, regularly updating stakeholders and the Bank’s Executive Committee.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance project management practices across the Bank.
  • Carry out stakeholder management to ensure the successful delivery of projects across the Bank.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in project management, incorporating relevant knowledge into project management practice within the Bank.
  • Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.

    All candidates wishing to apply should have the above-stated behavioural competencies and the following minimum qualifications:
    Master’s degree in Project Management or Business Administration with a module/course in project management; Certification in PRINCE 2, P3O, MSP, Agile PM, and MoP will be an added advantage.
    PLUS A minimum of seven (7) years experience in banking or related field, three (3) years of which at managerial level.
