Job Title: Warehouse Assistant
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Bots’abelo, Maseru
Job Summary: The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products. This role involves inventory management, ensuring efficient warehouse practices, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Receive and unload shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Organize and store inventory in designated areas.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Manage stock by using the FIFO method to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and update records accurately.
- Maintaina clean, orderly and safe warehouse environment
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in a safe manner.
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with processing returns and restocking of items as needed
- Prepare and maintain inventory reports and documentation.
- Support the implementation of inventory control procedures and systems to optimize operation.
- Compile and submit the monthly progress report to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Senior Management of the employer.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics/warehousing/Business Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items where necessary.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Forklift certification will be an added advantage.
