Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is a USA based Organization with public health programs around the World. It creates a future of hope for children and families worldwide by eradicating pediatric AIDS, providing care and treatment for people with HIV and AIDS, and accelerating the discovery of new treatments for other serious and life- threatening pediatric illnesses. EGPAF`s work is funded through private donations, PEPFAR via the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Centres for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), Unitaid etc.
POSITION TITLE: Prevention & Surveillance Advisor
JOB SUMMARY
- Implement EGPAF Lesotho Adult and Pediatric HTS, HIV prevention and surveillance activities in line with the approved workplans,
- Support the coordination of HTS, EID, Prevention and Surveillance activities for ALPEC and Bophelo Bo Botle projects in EGPAF supported districts,
- Support sub-partners and provide TA to ensure achievement of donor targets for HTS, prevention, surveillance and EID programs.
- Conduct close review of all LENEPWHA and CHAL reports and keeping Programs Director appraised of any challenges with implementation of
work plan - Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, biennially and annually HTS, HIV prevention, surveillance and EID reports and assist in addressing
bottlenecks to optimize implementation. - Provide technical assistance and mentorship to LENEPWHA and CHAL ensuring that all activities assigned to the sub-partners are implemented according to set timelines and monitor achievements towards set targets.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling or Social Work
- Postgraduate diploma in HIV/AIDS management & Masters of Public Health will be an added advantage
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience providing technical assistance in HIV prevention implementation, management and surveillance activities.
- A minimum 2 years in management role.
- Previous experience working with NGO will be an added advantage
