Treasury Manager in the Finance Division

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the above-mentioned position. The position will be on a five-year fixed contract and is tenable at the Head Office in Maseru. The incumbent will be responsible to the Head of Finance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Honours Degree in Finance & Accounting
CFA or CIMA.
OR
Registered Accountant or BComm Accounting or related field and a post graduate qualification in Financial Accounting or Management.
CA will be an added advantage.
- PROGRESSION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably eight (8) years’ experience in a financial accounting environment of which three (3) years must have been in financial analysis or treasury related environment.
- Must have extensive experience in payroll and extensive knowledge of cash management principles,
- Strong business acumen
- Computer literacy is essential
- Thorough understanding of financial Markets and instruments is required
- Must be highly numerical
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The incumbent will be responsible for performing the following:
• Developing, reviewing and implementing Treasury Management, Strategy, plans and policies.
• Managing and assessing LEC’s cash flow by anticipating incoming cash and outgoing commitments.
• Pursuing and reviewing new business opportunities and assess them for financial viability
• Managing investment portfolios.
• Forecasting on medium and long term funding needs and recommending the best equity structure.
• Developing treasury and corporate related policies for managing financial risks.
• Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders in collaboration with the Head of Finance.
• Preparing financial statements, financial reports and management information packs.
• Developing and managing relationships with financial service providers.
• Overseeing the LEC’s cash balances on a daily basis to ensure the LEC’s healthy financial operation thus managing financial liquidity.
• Negotiates contract and loan terms with lenders and other financial institutions.
• Maintains an up- to- date working knowledge of financial and legal regulations that may affect company decisions or policies.
• Managing government grants and all external funding in accordance with stipulated guidelines.
• Managing revenue and ensuring proper accountability.
• Developing, implementing and monitoring Treasury Departmental budget.
