Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Front Office and Banqueting Manager.
Purpose of the Job
To oversee the smooth and efficient operation of the front office (guest services and reception) and the management of banqueting services for events held across the cultural village, including in the museum, restaurant, amphitheatre, and other facilities. The role ensures exceptional customer service, effective coordination of events, and operational excellence while promoting the cultural village as a key
destination for both local and international visitors.
Essential Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field. - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a cultural, hospitality, or events environment, with a focus on front office and banqueting operations.
Key Competencies:
o Strong leadership and people management skills.
o Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
o Exceptional customer service and guest relations skills.
o Knowledge of event planning and coordination.
o Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
o Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Proficiency in relevant software, including booking and event management systems.
