MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
The Departments of Geography & Environmental Science in the Faculty of Science and Technology (FOST) is seeking a qualified, competent and hardworking candidate for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in its Bachelor of Science in Human Geography (BSc. Human Geo) Programme. Candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer must possess a PhD in Human Geography or related discipline, with a minimum of five years of continuous teaching and research experience, and at least three (3) peer-reviewed journal articles. For the position of Lecturer, candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Human Geography or related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of teaching/research experience, and at least one (1) peer reviewed journal article.
The successful candidate must also provide evidence of his/her ability to develop content and deliver lessons in at least four of the following modules (or their equivalents): Geographies of Tourism and Recreation, Population Geography; Economic Geography, Geography of Transport and Land Use and Theory and Practice of Regional Development.
The successful candidate should also possess the following personal attributes:
- Excellent communication and dissemination capabilities
- A strong passion for teaching and research.
- Ability to work independently as well as in teams
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Team player with interest in moving the department towards excellence

EMPLOYMENT TYPE
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and two Years’ Contract for Non-Locals
