Duties and responsibilities:
A successful candidate will be expected to:
Teach relevant courses at undergraduate and post graduate levels.
Undertake research and publish in the relevant area of specialisation, and
Perform any other duties as shall be determined from time to time by the Department and Faculty.
Skills and abilities:
Strong background in psychometric theory and application, including knowledge of IRT, CTT, statistics, test development procedures, and research design.
Advanced knowledge of measurement topics such as equating, scaling, generalizability theory, Bayesian methodology, or standard setting is desirable.
Desirable knowledge and/or experience in natural language processing, automated item generation, process data analytic methods, and assessment FOR, OF and AS learning approaches.
Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of statistical software (e.g., JMETRIK, DIMTEST, BILOG, STATA, R, PYTHON).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to identify errors and solve problems.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including working closely and successfully with individuals from various professional and educational backgrounds.
Employment Type:
Permanent and pensionable for locals and two years renewable contract for expatriates
Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
