About CRS:

Project Summary:

Catholic Relief Services (CRS), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and American Institutes for Research (AIR), implements the Bokamoso Ba Bana (3B) project here in Lesotho. The 3B project is a US$28.5 Million 5-year school feeding, literacy, and child nutrition project funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)/Foreign Agricultural Services (FAS) under the McGovern-Dole International Food and Child Nutrition Program.

In collaboration with the government of Lesotho, the 3B project aims to improve the literacy levels of school aged children, their use of health and dietary practices and the effectiveness of food assistance in Thaba-Tseka, Mokhotlong, and Semonkong Districts.

Job Summary:  

The enumerators will work closely with MEAL team from CRS for 11 working days to ensure that head count, stock balances and take-home rations data is collected from 228 schools.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

General Tasks

  • Ensuring accurate and complete information is collected
  • Knowledge of digital data collection platforms (e.g CommCare, COBBO, DHIS-2 etc)
  • Collaborate with project to staff to gather necessary information
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Adhere to company MEAL policies and procedures
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of COSC/college certificate
  • Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in data collection.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of digital data collection platforms (e.g CommCare, COBBO, DHIS-2 etc)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  
  • Observation and active listening skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and service-oriented
  • Good relationship management skills with ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Pays attention to detail and displays a high level of integrity
  • Horse riding experience could be an added advantage
Required languages.
  • Fluency in Sesotho and English
Travel.
  • Extensive travel to Semonkong, Thaba-Tseka and Mokhotlong schools
