Job offer: Senior Nurse - Head - Clinic at Paballong HIV/AIDS Care Centre

Paballong HIV/AIDS Care Centre is a non-profit organisation based at Ha Senekane in the Berea Plateau. We invite suitably qualified and suitable candidates for the following vacant positions:

POSITION: Senior Nurse – Head – Clinic (1)

PURPOSE / JOB DESCRIPTION

• To oversee the Clinic services at the Centre in conformance to the required standards and protocols and to conduct regular assessment of the Clinic to ensure it effectively serves the beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
• To provide leadership for the Clinic services team including partaking in their recruitment, continuous development and performance evaluation
• To determine fiscal requirements, makes projections and prepares the clinics’ budget and ensures that operating expenses are well within the prescribed limits of budget plans and fiscal guidelines of the Centre
• To inform Board of Trustees about current trends, issues and clinical activities at the centre
• To track clinical care best practice and ensures clinic compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery
• To represent the clinic in its relationships with the District Health Management Team, (DHMT) other health organizations, government agencies and other stakeholders
• To ensure that the patient register is updated regularly
• To provide relevant good health and nutrition practices to patients on daily basis

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Qualified Nurse/ Midwife with a Degree in Nursing plus three (3) post qualification experience or Diploma in Nursing  plus five (5) years post qualification experience
• Member of the Nursing Council of Lesotho
• A candidate who could have served at a senior management level in private and/or NGO sectors; with some of that being in in HIV & AIDS area would be desirable

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Proven clinic management experience 
• Clinic knowledge, commitment  and practical skills in areas of HIV and AIDS, SRH,
• High professional, quality orientation and nursing ethical standards in managing patient care
• Strong planning, leadership, delegation and organizational  skills
• Project proposal writing 
• Decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative and holistic mindset, people management, effective communication and interpersonal relations skills.
• Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner even under pressure.
• Computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license.
