POSITION(S) VACANT- CHILD AND FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER(S)

(Junior to mid-level professional roles available).

1 x Child Care Assistant

3 x Child and Family Support Workers

LOCATION:

Motimposo, Sparletta (next to Motimposo Primary School)

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Social Work, counselling, teaching and related qualifications will be highly regarded but are NOT required.

Demonstrated experience/passion for the welfare of children may be accepted in lieu of qualifications. On-the-job training will be provided.

HOW TO APPLY:

CV’s, including certified copies of relevant qualifications (if any), must be hand delivered to the Sepheo office in Motimposo on FRIDAY, 15th NOVEMBER 2024, between 10:00am and 3:00pm.

A 5 minute interview will be conducted on the day. Shortlisted candidates will then be contacted for follow-up interview.

ABOUT THE ROLE(S)

Sepheo School is seeking to fill several new positions to support children and families enrolled in its programs. Sepheo provides long-term, intensive interventions to highly excluded children and their families. These include:

– Street-connected children

– Children who have experienced extensive trauma

– Children without parental care

– Children who have been exposed to long term abuse and neglect

Due to life circumstances, our students have unique educational, behavioural and social needs, and candidates will need a genuine love for children alongside a willingness to learn best practice in helping children heal.

WHAT EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED?

Experience in the care and support of children or families is sought. This can be formal (previous employment) or informal (experience supporting children within ones own community).

Qualifications may be an added advantage but may not be a necessary basis for hiring.

The ideal candidate is someone who is patient, nurturing, and willing to learn new things. They are deeply passionate about keeping children in families and helping people heal. They need to embrace change and doing things in a different way.
