Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of General Manager.
Purpose of the Job
To oversee the overall operations of the cultural village, including the museum, restaurant, amphitheatre, and other facilities. The role focuses on the strategic development, promotion, and smooth operation of all aspects of the village while ensuring high standards of cultural integrity, visitor experience, and operational efficiency.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Tourism, Hospitality, Cultural Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 7-10 years of management experience, preferably in a cultural, tourism, or hospitality setting.
Key Competencies
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Proven experience in financial management and operational oversight.
Deep understanding and appreciation of Basotho culture and history.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong marketing acumen and experience with event management.
Knowledge of customer service best practices.
Proficiency in relevant technology, including booking systems and financial software.
