Job Presentation

Phelisanang Bophelong (PB) is seeking for suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following positions under the USAID Sustaining Epidemic Control through Unified Prevention (SECURE) Activity. PB’s scope of work under SECURE is to improve coverage of non-discriminatory, client centred, integrated services across the continuum of care for key populations. The following positions are created to support the HIV package of services for the Female Sex Workers (FSWs), Transgenders (TGs), Men Having Sex with Other Men (MSM) and Priority populations in Leribe and Maseru districts:

LERIBE: One (1) position

???????????? ????????????????????????????: The M&E Assistants will work closely with the Project Officer to ensure that Female Sex Workers (FSWs), Transgenders (TGs) and Men having Sex with Men (MSM) HIV programs are effectively monitored and evaluated to ensure their success. Responsibilities will encompass the gathering, analysis, and reporting of data to facilitate informed decision-making and enhance program effectiveness. Specific roles and responsibilities for this position include:

 Support in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans

 Support provision of oversight of the data collection processes and updating of the data collection forms, registers, tracking sheets and databases at the program sites, and ensure that program data is reported on daily basis at designated program sites to meet the program requirements for high frequency reporting.

 Support provision of ongoing coaching, mentoring and supportive supervision to program and peer staff to strengthen staff performance as necessary to meet the monitoring objectives and to ensure availability of high-quality program data;

 Participate in the implementation of daily, weekly and monthly data verifications, and quarterly internal data quality audits and in the preparation of periodic reports to document the findings and actions following the assessments

 Collect data on program activities, outcomes, and impact using a variety of data collection methods, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups.

 Analyse data to identify trends and patterns, and prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to program staff and stakeholders.

 Monitor program progress and implementation to ensure that activities are being carried out as planned and are achieving their intended outcomes.

 Provide training and support to program staff on data collection, monitoring, and evaluation techniques.

 Assist in conducting regular field visits to monitor program activities and provide technical assistance to program staff.

 Coordinate with external partners and stakeholders to ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are aligned with donor requirements and standards.

 Assist in the preparation of program reports, including quarterly and annual reports, as well as ad-hoc reports as needed.

 Contribute to the overall learning and knowledge management of the organization by documenting and sharing best practices and lessons learned from program activities.

 Minimum Diploma in Statistics, Social Sciences or relate field

 At least 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the NGO sector.

 Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Internet computer skills.

 Expertise in using statistical software and applications such as SPSS, STATA, Epi Info, R software, Comm-Care, DHIS2 etc.

 Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and participatory methods.

 Knowledge of M&E frameworks and tools, as well as best practices in monitoring and evaluation.
