The Council on Higher Education (CHE) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Chief Executive.
Purpose of the Job
To provide strategic leadership to the CHE Secretariat to ensure that it successfully executes its mandate. To ensure management of all the affairs of CHE including engagement and supervision of the CHE staff , accounting for the CHE assets and liabilities, ensuring preparation of financial statements and acting as the Secretary to the Council.
Essential Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s Degree in Education Management or related field.
At least 10 years’ experience, of which 5 years should have been in a senior managerial position, in a recognised higher education institution, Quality Assurance Agency, Policy Development Organisation, Regulatory Body or Monitoring and Evaluation etc.
Or
Doctorate in Education Management or related field.
At least 5 years’ experience, of which should have been in a senior managerial position, in a recognised higher education institution, Quality Assurance Agency, Policy Development Organisation, Regulatory Body or Monitoring and Evaluation etc.

Ability to network at the highest level
Ability to manage a team of professionals
Demonstration of visionary leadership
