Key Purpose Statement
Coca-Cola Beverages Lesotho (CCBL) has an exciting opportunity in the Finance Department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience for a Financial Accountant, which is based in Maseru, Lesotho. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager:

Key Outputs and Accountabilities
The primary purpose of the Financial Accountant:

  • Ensure CCBL adheres to all functional group policies.
  • Ensure that accounting standards are consistent and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Corporate Governance.
  • Assist CCBL with both External and Internal Audits.
  • Ensure effective working capital management and sound treasury function.
  • Provide a high-quality, efficient and optimal performance for the processing of transactional activities within the finance department.
  • Demonstrate strong financial knowledge and expertise on key financial reporting issues.
  • Establish a strong governance and internal control framework.
  • Demonstrate high level of risk management and appropriate remedial actions.
  • Management of all Finance operations, including processes, systems and tools.
  • Ensure that simplified and standardized monthly/ quarter/year end processes are implemented.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce process inefficiency and improve internal controls.
  • Provide value adding and analytical insights identifying opportunities for the optimisation of Cash Management
  • Attendance of stock counts and ensure compliance to hard close and year end procedures
  • Compliance to IFRS, internal and external audit as well as other regulatory bodies.
    Balance Sheet:
    o Provide insightful, timely reporting for CCBL.
    o The overall process management of CCBL’s Finance functions.
    o Review and control of all Balance Sheet reconciliations.
    o Timeous resolving of all reconciling items.
    Tax:
    o Ensure all Tax matters for CCBL are up to date. Governance and Compliance:
    o Manage all Governance and Compliance issues for CCBL.

Key Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications

  • ACCA, CA, or Equivalent and shall be a member of Lesotho Institute of Accountants.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience.
  • 3+ years financial management experience or similar experience.
  • An audit experience will be an added advantage.
