Key Purpose Statement
Coca-Cola Beverages Lesotho (CCBL) has an exciting career opportunity. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience to fill the role of a Sales Manager, based at the above CCBL site. The successful candidate will report directly to the Country Manager.

The Sales Manager will develop, implement and maintain effective customer account plans thereby managing the profitable sales of CCBL products, and the development and maintenance of new business relationships and opportunities so that customer excellence, brand loyalty and profitable volume growth are achieved.

Key Outputs and Accountabilities
Manage the goals for the allocated sales team, to deliver and exceed targeted Growth, Profit and Margin.

  • Business targets achieved
  • Team goals and KPI’s flow into agreed individual goals and KPI’s
  • The achievement of volume, profit, market execution, customer service
  • Team understanding of policies, procedures, guidelines and goals is actively monitored and relevant actions taken to improve knowledge thereof.
  • Team members receive continual feedback on progress towards targets achieved.
  • Work performance is monitored regularly to ensure that targets are achieved.
  • SHERQ policies and procedures are adhered to and compliance to these requirements is actively pursued.
    Formulate, monitor and control investment in trade and trade expenses, to ensure that the Channel is profitable.
  • Channels continuously drive efficiency and productivity
  • Investments and costs management is done on an ongoing basis.
  • Investments and costs reviewed monthly and feedback is provided to the team on a monthly basis.
  • Special approval for extraordinary costs must be acquired as per guidelines.
  • Variances within the planned investments and costs are analysed, problem areas addressed and corrective action is taken.
    Company assets managed
  • The allocation, operation, return on investment & non conformance activities related to company assets are executed in accordance with the set CCBL standards and regulations
  • Coolers, vehicles and equipment are managed, maintained and verified on-schedule to ensure optimal functioning and minimise losses
  • Company vehicles image, usage and abuse is managed in line with company policy and non conformance by team members is actioned
    Team Managed
  • Team performance goals support CCBL goals, the channel business plan and the team’s contextual issues.
  • Career discussions and individual development plans are completed and captured in compliance with the process.
  • Agreed upon individual development plans are appropriately executed and corrective action is taken in respect of out of line
    situations.
  • Team members are treated in line with CCBL’s code of conduct, values and ethics.
  • Summative CAP competence developed and achieved.
  • Team members are allowed and encouraged to make decisions and to solve problems relevant to their work.
  • Sales team members are continuously motivated and encouraged to achieve and exceed targets.
  • On the job coaching is conducted regularly and as necessary to identify and correct gaps in performance.

Key Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement: Completed a Masters Degree / PostGraduate Diploma / or equivalent qualification with 10 years Senior Management experience in lieu of a Masters qualification.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years sales experience in an FMCG environment.
  • Valid code 8 drivers licence, unendorsed.
