DIRECTORATE OF DISPUTE PREVENTION AND RESOLUTION (DDPR)
The Directorate of Dispute Prevention and Resolution (DDPR) is a statutory body established in terms of the Labour Act No. 3 2024. It is a public institution whose operations are overseen by the Industrial Relations Council (IRC). Its main functions are to prevent and speedily resolve trade disputes through conciliation and/or arbitration and to advise employers, employees and their organizations, on the prevention of trade disputes at source.
The Directorate invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for one (1) position of Assistant Dispute Prevention Officer (ADPO) tenable at any of the DDPR regional offices: Maseru/Maputsoe/Mafeteng.
The ADPO shall be answerable to the Dispute Prevention Officer in the performance of the following duties and responsibilities –
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- LLB Degree plus post graduate Diploma (Conciliation and Arbitration) with at least three (3) years working experience in a labour law related field;
OR - BA degree in either Law, Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations plus Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law (Conciliaton and Arbitration) with at least five (5) years in a labour law related field;
- Experience in running training workshops shall be an added advantage.
