The Country Program Manager is responsible for strategically leading, directing, developing, and managing of all aspects of AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s (AHF) program in the Country as an effective member of the AHF Africa Bureau leadership team.

The Country Program Manager ensures that the AHF’s vision, mission statement, core values, management philosophy and key partnership standards and practices are the foundation of AHF’s strategies and work.

The Country Program Manager ensures AHF advocacy agenda is successful in the country through coalition building, engaging the duty bearers including Government and Parliament, active participation of clients, and generating body of evidence to cause policy change.

The Country Program Manager supervisory and responsibilities Includes supervision of the Medical Director, Operations Officer, Prevention Program Coordinator, Finance Officer and any other positions as defined in the organogram, Performance Management, Strategic growth/expansion of the program, Finance and Resource Management, Strategic partnership engagement, Advocacy and marketing, Planning, collaboration, and reporting.

• MBChB degree, MPH, MA or MS degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in managing public health/international development programs and leading diverse teams.

• Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and health related issuos.

• Highly skilled in HIV/AIDS programming, preferably within an African context, funded by major donors, such as the U.S. Government, World Bank, Global Fund for AIDS, TB, and Malaria, corporations, foundations, etc.

• Must be culturally sensitive and able to work in a wide variety of settings and cultures.

• Ability to travel at least 12 weeks per year to operations sites as assigned. Must have a valid passport.

• Experience in designing and managing USAID and U.S. Government funded HIV/AIDS programs desired.

• Participation in AHF Global
