Letšeng Diamonds (Pty) Ltd (“Letšeng”), a private company owned by Gem Diamonds Limited (“Gem”) (70%) and the Government of Lesotho (“GoL”) (30%) has insourced process function which consists of Plant Maintenance, Plant operation and Plant Procurement. As part of this insourcing, Letšeng is looking for suitable candidates for the position of MAINTENANCE PLANNER
Duties & ResponsibilitiesTo develop and manage cost-efficient preventive maintenance plans, including condition monitoring systems, to ensure optimum levels of processing equipment reliability through proper and timeous maintainance, repairs and replacements as required.
Desired Qualification, Experience Skills & CompetenciesEngineering Degree, Diploma, or equivalent or a
recognised artisan trade certificate plus a proven succesful track record in maintenance planning roles within the diamond processing industry
Certificate in maintenance planning and scheduling
Minimum of 5 years plant maintenance experience at artisan level followed by a proven track record in maintenance planning and asset care functions for diamond processing systems and facilities.
Ability to work independently, function under pressure and maintain critical attention to detail.
Skilled in diamond plant maintenance and condition monitoring requirements. Expert skill in recognised maintenance and resource planning software.
Good communication and reporting skills across all levels (both verbal and written) with confidence to deal with a range of suppliers, designers, and project managers.
Good experience in budgeting and cost control.
Good detailed knowledge of metallurgical equipment and safety standards with a high level of technical knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical problems. Knowledge of relevant occupational health and safety regulations and industry standards such as the Lesotho Occupational Safety and Health Act.
Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
Strong quality orientation in terms of work standards.
Valid drivers license
