Job title: Review and update the Accelerated Action on Health of Adolescents (AA-HA) Implementation Plan and Development of 2025 Adolescent Health Annual Work Plan
Closing date: 16th September 2024
UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund is seeking services of a local Individual Consultant to review the implementation of the Lesotho Accelerated Action on Health of Adolescents 2021 Plan and develop a revised implementation plan and a detailed annual work plan for 2025.
Scope of Work
The consultant will be expected to undertake a number of interrelated activities. First, to
submit revised versions
Duration and Working Schedule
This consultancy will require 40 persons days over a period of 3 months. September to November 2024
The consultant should have the following:
o Master’s degree in public health, health planning, social sciences, or a related field.
- Experience:
o At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of health programs, preferably with a focus on adolescent health or sexual and reproductive health.
o Proven track record in conducting program reviews and developing strategic plans.
o Experience in working with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders in the health sector.
o Familiarity with the Lesotho health system and context is highly desirable. - Skills and Competencies:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate consultations
and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
o Proven ability to write clear, concise, and compelling reports.
o Fluency in English and Sesotho (oral and written) is highly desirable. - Procedures for Submission
