SUNJV is the appointed Contractor for the Construction of the Polihali Dam in Lesotho. Close to 2000 workers and 5 years of construction to complete the project.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Tunnel Construction Health and Safety Officer located on-site in Lesotho. The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for overseeing health and safety protocols and compliance in tunnel construction, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards, and promoting a safe working environment for all personnel involved.

Qualifications

• Health & Safety, Diploma/ Degree
• Min 5 years experience in Tunnel Construction as HS Officer
• NEBOSH certification
• SACPCMP Registration as CHSO
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols SA and Lesotho Laws
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Training or experience – Rescue in confined space or tunnel environment
