Letšeng Diamonds (Pty) Ltd (“Letšeng”), a private company owned by Gem Diamonds Limited (“Gem”) (70%) and the Government of Lesotho (“GoL”) (30%) has insourced process function which consists of Plant Maintenance, Plant operation and Plant Procurement. As part of this insourcing, Letseng Diamonds is looking for suitable candidates for the position of Process Superintendent
Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for planning, leading, organising and controlling of the metallurgical, production, health & safety, and staff productivity of specific treatment facilities.
The main focus of this role is to drive the achievement of production objectives (being optimised diamond recovery effectiveness and production throughput), in a safe, secure and efficient manner, and in conjunction with the Mining, Final Recovery and Maintenance sections.
Recognized technical degree, diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years mining industry experience with a proven track record at plant operational level in the leading and controlling of diamond processing systems and facilities.
Good leadership, interpersonal and supervisory skill, ability to build and lead a strong operational team for achievement of business plan objectives.
Strong and principled leadership ability.
Good communication and reporting skills across all levels (both verbal and written).
Good experience in budgeting and cost control.
Strong knowledge of mining/manufacturing operations, equipment, and safety standards.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources.
Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
Strong quality orientation in terms of work standards
Good conflict management skills
Valid drivers license
Medically fit and healthy
