Jhpiego also partners with organizations from the community to the national levels, building sustainable, local capacity through advocacy, policy development, health workforce strengthening, and quality and performance improvement approaches.
In Lesotho in particular, Jhpiego has been operating since 2012 through supporting the government of Lesotho in delivering health services to the Basotho people. Jhpiego’s portfolio currently focuses on HIV/TB and COVID epidemic response and includes a range of HIV and COVID-focused programming and research eff orts, HIV (VMMC and PrEP), MOSAIC (biomedical HIV prevention including Dipivefrine Ring Introduction), THEBE (TB Contact Tracing), COVID-focused (COVID Case Management and Vaccine Support), CUT-TB (RCT) and various other small studies.
Jhpiego is looking for suitable candidate for the below vacant position.
Position: Operations Officer
Site: Maseru Office
Duration: 1 Month
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Administrative Manager, the candidate
will be responsible for:
- Responsible for booking of Goods Received Notes and relevant asset data in IntelliTrack
- Implements the asset management policy and manages movement and records changes in movement in IntelliTrack
- Responsible for managing dispatch notes
- Ensures timely record-keeping and reporting of asset data per Jhpiego and Donor policies
- Receives deliveries and ensures adequacy of delivered quantity
- Check invoices against Delivery Notes, Good Received Notes, and Purchase Orders
- Ensures adequate security to safeguard all inventories in the storeroom
- Manages movement of all inventories between the storeroom, the office, and the Jhpiego district sites by initiating dispatch notes
- Implements the inventory management system that monitors the movement of inventories
- Organises files both manually and electronically to record all commodities in the storeroom
- Ensure that the storeroom has enough space for incoming deliveries
- Ensure timely disposition of used VMMC supplies
- Prepares inventory and asset management including keeping proper inventory records
- Assures timely and accurate reporting from the sites
- Works with the procurement and VMMC team to manage the VMMC kits inventory system, ensuring adequate stock at sites
- Leads the process of ordering, shipping, and handling of MC kits and other supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Experience and Requirements
- BA in Business Management, Supply Chain, or any other related field.
- 4 years of relevant experience Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Expert knowledge in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing required
- Knowledge of USAID and Global Fund rules and regulations preferred
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage several major activities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment
- Relationship management
- Great Communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service and relations
- Ability to function under pressure

Total compensation will be based on the country of hire and Jhpiego’s local compensation plan.
