POST NO. 3556 – SENIOR LECTURER
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Private Law.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must hold a minimum of a Ph.D or LLD. Applicants must demonstrate competence in handling private law courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Further, the incumbent must be able to teach the courses in the field of Law and
Development, including WTO law, International Economic Law, International Trade Law and International Investment Law. Teaching experience and research requirements shall meet the minimum requirements as set out in the Appointment and Promotions
Criteria/Guidelines for Teaching and Research Staff at NUL, as per the relevant rank.
Applicants are also expected to have knowledge of advanced Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Duties and responsibilities
The incumbent will be expected to promote the professional development of law students through teaching, supervision and research in his/her area of expertise. The incumbent should have the ability to handle courses that are taught by the departments of Public Law
and Procedural and Adjectival Law, should the need arise. Further, the incumbent is expected to develop up-to-date study materials, deliver lectures and assess students as per the rules and regulations of the Faculty of Law. Administrative duties may also be assigned by the Faculty from time to time.

Contract
The appointment is on permanent and pensionable basis for locals or fixed term contract for non-nationals.
