Lesotho High School (used to be known as Basutoland High School) is a government school which strives to proved full post primary education for males and females students irrespective of their religious denomination. It was established in 1939 under the paramount of chief Nathanael Griffith Lerotholi. LHS offers opportunities for students to benefit not only academically, but also from extra-curricular activities such as sports activities, singing, in which all students are encouraged to join.
The total number of students changes every year as the number of Form A students admitted differs but the total normally ranges between 1200-1400. There are 53 teachers on grant. The curriculum of LHS is very broad.
